Miscellaneous
There was a time not long ago when I lived in a dire and depressing place called Aizu, which I lovingly referred to as
'The Asylum'. People there spoke a dialect the like of which no-one under the age of 50 can comprehend. The area
is known as one of the most traditional in Japan, being the last area in which the Samurai held out against the Meijis.
That being said, most of my time there was spent pursuing more contemporary culture, drinking tea and alcohol and
pretending to teach English. This whole blurb has very little to do with the Miscellany section, except that here are archived
some of the random things I wrote during my wonderful life within the confines of Aizu.

Fan Fiction
Writing fic formed a large part of my life (when not drinking tea) in Japan and thus forms a large
part of this site. I do not get as much time as I used to for writing, but I still enjoy it and have of late been branching
out into more fandoms.

Get Backers Summaries
There was not much in the way of stuff to do in Takada so some of us foreign outcasts survived by getting obsessed with
things. There was a time when I was completely obsessed with this series, and summarised chapters on a weekly basis as
they came out. Whilst I no longer do this, I have archived the summaries here for posterity.
